Dearest Wedding-Planner-To-Be,

If you’re thinking about or are in the process of setting up your own business, I take my hat off to you. What a fantastically courageous thing to do! The weird and wonderful world of wedding planning can be a glorious place to work in and I feel privileged to be able to do what I do every day.

I also know from experience that it’s no walk in the park starting up though and that a little help from a friendly neighbourhood wedding planner doesn’t go amiss. bride&glory definitely wouldn’t be where it is today without the guidance of my mentor, the gorgeous Tammy Willson of Magic Dust.

I’ve been doing the job for a while now so last year I decided to step into Tammy’s shoes and launched the bride&glory wedding planner course and mentoring programme. With her blessing, of course.

The Masterclass is an intensive one-day course that focuses on what it takes to be a wedding planner, how to market yourself as a wedding planner and how to set up, run and grow a small business. There are plenty of practical, interactive tasks {but no role play, I promise} and the opportunity to ask me as many questions as you like about running a successful wedding planning company.

The course runs from 09:00 to 16:30 and refreshments and lunch are included {I guarantee there won’t be a curly-edged sandwich in sight}. It also includes all course material to take home with you.

I’m confident that no other course offers you direct access to a professional, experienced wedding planner who is willing, and able, to answer your questions.

Attending a b&g masterclass is also the only way to be considered for a place on the invitation-only mentoring programme, which offers a small number of new wedding planners 1-to-1 advice, support and encouragement as they grow and develop their new businesses.

From my own experience of having been mentored by Magic Dust, this is where the invaluable support really kicks in. The Masterclass itself is the perfect way to get an understanding of whether this is the right job for you and how to get started – but it can still be daunting to go it all alone from there.

Having had Tammy by my side to guide me, push me, reassure me, cheer me on, set me straight when I needed to be, to rant at and to also remind me to look after myself when I was pushing too hard is what made the difference between bride&glory being a crazy idea or a successful business.

The next group class will be held at the incredibly beautiful Nether Winchendon House on Sunday, 24th March 2013 and the cost is £195 per booking. For the first person to book as a result of this blog post, I’ll throw in a discount of 20% {£39}. Just quote “NWH WPP Offer” when you book.

There is also the option of a 1-to-1 Masterclass. It covers the same elements as the group course but you don’t have to share me with anyone and we can therefore tailor it a little more to your requirements. It’s a brilliant alternative and especially useful for those of you who already have specific areas of concern or struggle fitting in with the group dates. The cost for the 1-to-1 class is £245.

And if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I promise I’m totally not scary and always happy to help a fellow wedding planner in the making.

Toodle pip,

— Anna
