Yoo hoo, Darlings! How very nice to see you on this blustery-sunny Tuesday.
Looks like I’m first up in the supplier spotlights we promised so you’d get to know more about Team Fetcham Bridal Masterclass.
So this is me. I’m Anna MacDougall, the face behind bride&glory wedding planning and coordination. You can find my story here – but I know you’re busy people and right now I want to use your precious time to tell you something that you might not have known yet:
b&g wasn’t born out of a love for weddings. Plenty of gasps and sucking of teeth here. True though – the reason I started b&g was much more mundane. I used to work in corporate event management and as such, I got a pretty good idea of what it takes to run a successful event. And the one thing you simply wouldn’t do is to have the event manager, the one who has planned the event for months, attend that same event as guest of honour.
But that’s exactly what you’re expected to do as bride & groom. You plan your cotton socks off until you have created the blueprint for a stunningly beautiful wedding but then what happens on the actual day? You’re the architect of the event, the one with the hugely detailed ops-file who knows the plan inside out. But you’re also expected to be a wonderfully serene bride, about to meet her dashing groom at the altar where you’ll promise to share the rest of your lives together – which is the reason why you’re here in the first place.
Something’s gotta give, Darlings, and you don’t want it to be your nerves.
bride&glory is a full service wedding planning company, which means I can help you with as much or as little as you need me to.
The part I take on the most though is the on-the-day coordination. My couples are quite similar to me: they are pretty (some scarily) organised, they know the style and details they want for their wedding day and they don’t need me to tell them what’s pretty. What they do need though is someone who takes over the operational side so they are free from stage-managing the logistics on their own wedding day.
Tadah! bride&glory to the rescue. The Fiat 500 will be packed to the roof with my SOS kit, which has pretty much all the tools I’ll need to ensure your day runs smoothly and counter any mishaps that might be lurking in the shadows.
My slightly insane kit is also part of what inspired us to run the first Bridal Masterclass a few months back and I’m ecstatic we get to take this show on the road again. Next stop: Fetcham Park.
I’d be thrilled if I could show you some of the fantastically simple items and tricks that can help put a stop to your usual wedding day calamities. Brace yourselves – if last time is anything to go by, there will be plenty of chortling at my (orange, of course) hammer and duct tape.
See you on the 17th Feb for a glass of fizz,
